Mr Bouncy Castle Ltd – Terms of Hire

Definitions

The Owner: Mr Bouncy Castle Ltd
The Equipment: All inflatables and associated equipment supplied by the Owner
The Hirer: The individual or organisation entering into a hire agreement with the Owner
User(s): Any person using the Equipment

General Terms of Hire

The Hirer must be 18 years or older and accepts full responsibility for the safe operation, supervision, and care of the Equipment for the duration of the hire. Where the Hirer is acting on behalf of an organisation, they confirm they are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

A contract is formed once instructions are received from the Hirer and accepted by the Owner. The contract ends once all obligations have been fulfilled and the Equipment has been returned and signed back to the Owner.

Responsibility for the Equipment passes to the Hirer once delivery and setup are completed and ends only when the Equipment has been collected and the Owner has confirmed its return in satisfactory condition. The Hirer must not sell, sub-hire, loan, or otherwise relinquish control of the Equipment.

Insurance & Liability

The Owner holds £10 million Public Liability Insurance, which covers injury or damage caused by the failure of the Equipment or the actions of the Owner’s staff.

This insurance does not cover negligence by the Hirer, their guests, or any third-party staff engaged by the Hirer. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure suitable supervision and, where appropriate, to obtain their own Public Liability Insurance (minimum £5 million recommended).

All use of the Equipment is entirely at the User’s own risk. The Owner shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety instructions.

Care, Damage & Loss

The Hirer accepts full responsibility for any loss, theft, damage, or staining to the Equipment during the hire period.

If the Equipment is lost or stolen and cannot be recovered, the Hirer agrees to pay the full manufacturer’s recommended retail price.

If the Equipment is returned damaged or excessively dirty, the Hirer agrees to cover all repair, cleaning, and replacement costs, including continued hire charges until the Equipment is restored or replaced.

The Hirer must not attempt any repairs unless authorised by the Owner and must report faults or defects immediately.

Access & Repossession

The Hirer authorises the Owner to access the premises, if reasonably required, to inspect, repair, replace, or repossess the Equipment.

The Owner shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses resulting from late delivery, non-delivery, cancellation, or repossession where safety or circumstances beyond the Owner’s control apply.

Cancellation Policy

The Owner reserves the right to substitute equipment of equal value if the original unit becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond their control.

If the Owner cancels due to unsafe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, the Hirer will receive a full refund.

If the Hirer cancels:

  • Up to 25% of the booking value may be charged

  • If cancelled within 14 days of the hire date, up to 50% may be charged

The Hirer may choose to reschedule the booking at no extra cost, subject to availability. This must be used within 6 months of the original hire date.

Where government restrictions prevent the hire from going ahead, bookings may be moved up to 12 months ahead. If rescheduled more than 6 months after the original date, pricing may be adjusted to reflect current rates.

Adverse Weather Conditions

The Equipment must not be used in weather conditions that could endanger users, including high winds, heavy rain, or storms.

If the Hirer cancels due to adverse weather, a full refund minus a £24 administration fee will apply, or the booking may be rescheduled within 6 months, subject to availability.

The Owner will never set up inflatables if wind speeds are forecast to exceed 24mph.
