Health & Safety at Mr Bouncy Castle

At Mr Bouncy Castle, safety always comes first — closely followed by fun 🎈
We take our responsibility seriously and work hard to ensure every hire is safe, compliant, and professionally managed from start to finish.

All of our staff are fully trained and regularly assessed on health and safety procedures. Every inflatable is checked before and after each hire, and our equipment is maintained to a high standard to ensure it’s safe, clean, and ready for use.

All inflatables are PIPA tested, and all electrical equipment is PAT tested by an independent contractor.

For general guidance on inflatable safety, you can also visit the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) website.

Below you’ll find our key health and safety documents. These are available to download for your records and are often requested by schools, venues, and event organisers.

Our Health & Safety Documents

📄 Health & Safety Policy (updated 29th January 2026)

This document outlines our overall commitment to health and safety and explains how we manage risks across our business. It sets out our responsibilities to customers, staff, and the public and supports our more detailed operational procedures.

📄 Public Liability Insurance (9th March 2025 - 8th March 2026)

We carry £5 million Public Liability Insurance, giving you peace of mind that you’re working with a fully insured and professional inflatable hire company.

📄 PAT Test Certificate (13th March 2025 - 12th March 2026)

This confirms that all our electrical equipment — including blowers and extension leads — has been independently tested and is safe to use.

📄 Method Statement (last updated 29th Jan 2026)

Our Method Statement explains how we safely deliver, set up, operate, and collect our inflatables. It covers:

  • Equipment checks and maintenance

  • Safe anchoring

  • Delivery and collection procedures

  • Generator use

  • Supervision requirements

  • Event setups

This is a key document for schools, councils, and public events.

📄 Hirer’s Safety Guide

Our easy-to-read guides explains what we need from you on the day of hire. It includes supervision requirements, weather awareness, and the most important safety rules to ensure everyone has a great (and safe) time.

📄 Additional Event Documentation

The following documentation ensures we have a response plan to fire and medical emergencies when supervising inflatables at events.

Risk Assessments

Our risk assessments identify potential hazards and the steps we take to control them. We provide specific risk assessments depending on the type of inflatable being hired:

These documents are particularly useful for venues, schools, and larger events.

Inflatable Testing & Certification

All inflatables supplied by Mr Bouncy Castle are independently tested to ensure they comply with the current British Standard BS EN 14960.

We use:

  • The PIPA scheme for bouncy castles

  • The RPII scheme for inflatable games

Each inflatable carries a test tag with a unique reference number, allowing customers to check that it has been tested within the last 12 months. You can also download the individual test certificate for each inflatable directly from its product page on our website.

Our Promise

We combine industry-standard safety practices with a friendly, family-run approach. Our goal is to make your event easy, safe, and stress-free, so you can focus on enjoying the day.

If you have any questions about health and safety or need specific documentation for your event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we’re always happy to help.
